Court Imposes N30 Million Bond, Media Ban on Rights Advocate
A magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti has granted bail to human rights activist Dele Farotimi, setting the bond at ₦30 million.
The news was shared by Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), via his X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday.
The court imposed stringent conditions for Farotimi’s release, including a ₦30 million bond, two sureties (one of whom must own property), the surrender of his passport, and a prohibition on giving media interviews.
