MTN Nigeria has announced a partnership with US-based digital music platform Apple Music, with the aim of providing customers easy access to a premium selection of songs and quality entertainment on the go. Subscribers to the service will have access to Apple Music’s extensive catalog of over 100 million local and international songs.
The collaboration grants MTN Nigeria subscribers a six-month free trial on Apple Music. Following the trial period, users can continue to stream or download music on the platform for N1,000 per month. The offer is accessible to both iOS and Android device users.
MTN customers can conveniently pay for the music streaming service using their airtime balance, with the option available to both pre-paid and post-paid customers on the MTN network.
A’isha Umar-Mumuni, Chief Digital Officer at MTN Nigeria, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are always on the lookout for opportunities that allow us to do more for our customers and provide them with resources and tools that fit into their lifestyle. Music forms a huge part of our lives as Africans. With this partnership, we seek to advance music distribution in Nigeria and make consumption easier for Nigerians.”
The Apple Music catalog offers millions of songs from both local and international sources, making the partnership even more appealing to subscribers.

The offer will be available starting April 14th, 2023, and customers can sign up via the MTN Play portal, myMTN App, or the MTN official website. Alternatively, subscribers can enroll via SMS by sending “MUSIC” to 8000 or dialing *447*2*4*1#.
