I Have Absolute Confidence In Gbajabiamila - Tinubu

The President made this statement on Monday, just moments before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting, held in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The resounding declaration from President Tinubu comes as a response to a report that surfaced merely 48 hours earlier, alleging that his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, is embroiled in an integrity crisis. The report had made startling claims that Gbajabiamila had been involved in the controversial practice of “trading off appointments in the government of President Tinubu to the highest bidder.”

However, President Tinubu did not mince his words as he vehemently defended his Chief of Staff, stating, “I have absolute confidence in my Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.” He went on to address the allegations directly, declaring that he would take full responsibility for any mistakes made during his tenure.

“So, all campaign of calumny, the buck stops here!” President Tinubu asserted. “If I make mistakes, I’ll own up to them. Like everyone in the country, I make mistakes. And when I make mistakes, I iron them out and correct them. Perfection is of God Almighty.”

This unequivocal show of support from President Tinubu for his Chief of Staff comes at a crucial juncture, as the administration grapples with the challenge of dispelling allegations that have cast a shadow over Gbajabiamila’s reputation.
