Rivers State Governor, Nyesome Wike on Thursday relocated former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Joy Nunieh to the state’s government house.
The governor arrived at her residence in the state on Thursday morning and ordered armed policemen on the ground out of the way.
He then proceeded to enter the house and was seen driving her off alongside his convoy
The former NDDC boss joined the Rivers State governor in his car to escape the police siege.
Odunews.com reports that officers had stormed the home of the former Interim Chairman of NDDC, Joi Nunieh at 3, Owuru Creek view, off Herbert Macaulay Street, Old GRA, Port Harcourt.
Governor Wike’s visit was predicated by the invasion of the residence of Nunieh by officers of the Nigerian police force early Thursday.
Wike questioned the policemen on who authorised the siege and when they claimed it was from the IGP, he beckoned on Ms Nunieh to come out from her house.
