Matt Reeves, the director of DC’s upcoming film, The Batman, has cast Jeffrey Wright to play the role of Jim Gordon.
Those who are familiar with the actor will be glad of his casting as his talent is evident in all the movies he has been a part of.
Plot details still haven’t been revealed at the moment as those involved in the production have remained tight-lipped but we do for a fact that the film will see a younger version of the caped crusader (played by Robert Pattinson).
Commissioner Jim Gordon is known for being an ally (albeit a reluctant one) of Batman and is one of the few honest cops in the corrupt city of Gotham.
Jeffrey Wright was born on December 7, 1965, and is an American actor best known for his Tony and Emmy-winning role as Belize in the HBO miniseries Angels in America.
He has appeared in movies like Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and the Hunger Games films.
