In the spirit of the Black Friday sales, customers trooped out in large numbers to visit stores in the early hours of November 29 to get the best sales – one of such stores is Shoprite at the Ikeja City Mall, Alausa.
As at 8:30 am. our correspondent at OduNews.com arrived at the mall to see a large number of customers trooping in and out of the mall. Specifically, Shoprite was filled to the brim. Customers could be seen coming out with large items purchased from the store and more people are still finding their way into the store.
Speaking to some of the customers and bystanders, OduNews.com asked if there was any difference in the regular prices at the store. “It is not much difference, just a bit lesser. Not even significant with some products”, one of the customers said. Another one mentioned that it’s ridiculous to see so many people out here just because of a small discount. “These stuffs are not even discounted like that, three hundred naira or five hundred naira is what is the causing the overcrowding oo”.

OduNews.com also understands that Ikeja generally is going about their business in the usual way, some electronics and consumable goods stores are seen advertising 20% to 50% off on their products. That Nigerians really believe in the Black Friday is an understatement. They’re really going into it whole heartedly.
On the other hand, Jumia Nigeria also got some handy offers that customers are currently drooling over.
