Kogi: INEC, SDP's Gov. Candidate Trade Words Over Alleged Attack

The Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Natasha Akpoti and the Independent National Electoral Commission engaged in a mild argument over the pandemonium that greeted the stakeholders meeting held in Lokoja today.

Natasha Akpoti via her twitter handle alleged that she was physically and sexually abused by by Yahaya Bello’s led APC government. She later accused the Police and the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, of doing nothing to salvage the situation.

INEC, through its official twitter handle, however refuted the claims made by the Governorship aspirant by clarifying what happened during the meeting.

Recall that odunews.com had earlier reported that the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Adamu, the INEC Chairman as well as other stakeholders were teargassed at the stakeholders meeting.

The SDP’s candidate later took to twitter to air her grievances on the issue which spurred a response from INEC.
