Nigerian Man Sentenced to life imprisonment for rape in Georgia

A Nigerian man identified as Adedoja Olaniyi Bah has been sentenced to 3 life sentences for raping a 13-year-old girl in Douglas County, Georgia.

According to reports, Adedoja had been convicted on 12 charges in October including rape, child molestation, aggravated assaults and terroristic threats and had been sentenced to 76 years imprisonment before his recent crime.

Prosecutors had revealed how the suspect had spotted the victim, chased her into the  woods, punched and beaten her before raping her.

The defense request for mercy and Adedoja’s release to go back to Nigeria had been denied by the judge.

The judge, Judge Adams said “mercy is not mine to give, I’m not the one you should be asking for mercy from.”

This man is a predator in every sense of the word, the only way I know to guarantee that he doesn’t rape another child is to make sure he is never out of prison again.”

Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney, Samantha J. Newman told the court during hearing that the suspect deserved the sentence he was given and that the victim deserves to know that Bah will never have the opportunity to hurt or anyone else again.
