The late writer had all of her books featured on the New York Times bestseller list

American writer Johanna Lindsey who was known for her bestselling romance novels has died at the age of 67.

Lindsey was an accomplished author whose book reached the New York Times bestseller list and she told stories about passion, brave heroines, abductions, and revenge.

The famous writer died on October 27, 2019, in Nashua, New Hampshire and her son Alfred revealed that her death resulted from complications from the treatment of lung cancer.

Lindsey wrote her first book Captive Bride in 1977 and after its success, she went on to write forty-nine other novels, selling over fifty-eight million copies of her books worldwide.

Her work has been translated into twelve languages and her most popular books are a series of Regency sagas that deal with the fictional Malory family.

Lindsey married Ralph Bruce Lindsey in 1970 while she was still in school and they had three children.
