Oladipo Olamide Emmanuel with the stage name Chinko Ekun is a talented Nigerian rapper and songwriter, has openly declared himself as the best rapper in Nigeria.
Chinko who became popular with his hit single’ Able God‘ took to his social media handle to say despite being the best rapper who doesn’t need validation, he still has to act a monkey.
He tweeted;
“I can boldly say I’m the best and most versatile rapper in Nigeria and don’t seek for anyone’s validation but you know what… sometimes you have to dance to the tune and act a monkey in other to get the banana. Merry Christmas & happy new year in advance my people.”
A few months back, he slammed the Nigerian music industry and claims there is no love in it.
In a lengthy post he shared on social media, he lamented how many people in the industry never care when an artiste is struggling and immediately the artist blows, they turn around and start showering love.
He wrote:
“Sadly, I have learnt that there is no love in this industry. When you are an artiste who is struggling to make a name, people act like you don’t exist; and it’s awful because it is people you don’t expect such from that are guilty of that act.
When you succeed and your name is everywhere, everybody suddenly recognizes your existence. That is not love.But on a brighter note, the greatest lesson I have learnt is that you must never give up, no matter how hard it seems. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
What you need to do is push until you make it and succeed. One day, you’ll make it, regardless of the struggles and challenges”
