TRENDING: Drew Brees Makes History By Achieving Major NFL Record
Drew Brees gave a flawless performance yesterday at the Superdome

American football quarterback Drew Brees put his name in the National Football League (NFL) record books yesterday as he made history by becoming the league’s touchdown king.

In a game that saw the New Orleans Saints hammer the Indianapolis Colts 34-7 at the Superdome, Brees was nothing short of phenomenal as he dazzled fans with incredible passing accuracy, setting a single-game standard for pinpoint passing with a 29-for-30 performance.

All through the game, the Saints looked to be in good form as Brees threw four touchdown passes to bring his total career to 541, two ahead of Manning and three more than Tom Brady.

Brees was congratulated by his teammates on the field as his family celebrated in a suite and he took the opportunity to say how much the fans and his team meant to him.

I love my team. I love our fans. And I love the opportunity that we have. We want to continue to strive to play a little bit better each and every week… We still have a lot of work to do. But this was a special night, one we’ll always remember.Drew Brees – washingtonpost.com
