In his first video since he dyed his beard, Falz says that girls are the most important factor in the party he wants to throw, and Patoranking agrees.
The rapper has never needed flashy cars or an exceptional backdrop to make a statement and he continues the tradition in the first part of the clip, teasing viewers with the naughty side of him that made him so popular.
Falz employs street urchins to add that sense of ghetto identity to his track by dancing to his comic bars in a video that is absurdly whimsical and humorously nonsensical.
The music star saves an unremarkable song with an engaging video. It may not be award-worthy but it is guaranteed to sustain the viewer’s attention.
There is a deliberate shortage of the usual video vixens (Falz has never really needed them anyway as he is an all-round entertainer) and the male dancers try their best to make us forget that fact (and they largely succeed).
Falz made a name for himself making sense out of the ludicrous and fusing unique rap lines with a comic persona so it’s no surprise that Girls video shows that packaging is key. The thing is you forget the unimportant message and focus on the performers on the screen.
Patoranking brings his dancehall vibe to the track and it all comes together well as the duo engages in the best way to get the girls to be a part of the mix.
Falz’s latest video is fun to watch and his distracting beard just makes it all the more ludicrous!
