A cross-section of Nigerians have taken to social media to air their grievances on the approval of N37billion for the renovation of the National Assembly complex in Abuja.
Odunews.com reports that N37billion was approved for the renovation of the National Assembly Complex.
It would be recalled that the National Assembly was built during ex- President Olusegun Obasanjo’s tenure for about$35.18 million which is about N7 billion.
The huge amount earmarked for the renovation has stirred much controversy with many comparing the budget to that of other important sectors in the country like Education and Health.
See some reactions below:
Corruption is defined as the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. The abuse of entrusted power for private gain has ALWAYS been the main business of the National Assembly. It can be done as illegal earnings, “constituency projects”, budget padding, jeeps or even renovation.

Daylight Robbery is when over $100m is budgeted for "renovation of the National Assembly."
Is it even a priority to spend over #37billion Naira on the National Assembly?
