Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn is facing severe backlash for shaking hands with U.S. President Donald Trump.
The actor who was present at a football game on Monday night met with President Trump in a private box and the gesture which took seconds was witnessed by many.
Trump has been the object of mockery at sporting events and it came as a surprise that Vaughn chose to identify with the controversial leader.
The handshake incident occurred at New Orleans at the National College Football Championship game between Louisiana State and Clemson and a Twitter user responded by saying:
I’m not angry about Vince Vaughn, just profoundly disappointed. And I want nothing more to do with him. Once upon a time I found him quite entertaining. Not anymore.
Others have however said that there was nothing wrong with the gesture as Vaughn only showed respect for the President.
