Meet The Youngest Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Atoyebi Oyetola Muyiwa

Muyiwa Oyetola Atoyebi, a Nigerian Law graduate, a feat of emerging as Senior Advocate of Nigeria at the age of 34 in September 2019 lends credence to the aphorism that age is a mere number with no limitations to one’s achievement.

Muyiwa Atoyebi is among 38 lawyers conferred with the senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) title in 2019/2020 legal year.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria title is conferred on legal professionals who have practised for not less than 10 years.

Mr Atoyebi hails from Igosun village, Oyun LGA of Kwara State. He studied law at the University of Ilorin.

Mr Atoyebi is a Managing Partner of one of the Leading Law Firms in Nigeria, Omaplex Law Firm. He is also in charge of the Firm’s Government Business Practice as well as Litigation, International Dispute Resolution, Maritime and Shipping Law amongst others.

He is presently a team leader of the Emerging Areas of Practice of the Firm, which focuses on Public Expenditure Management, Project and Corporate Finance, Privatization, General Corporate Governance, Compliance, Obtaining Practicing Licenses and Approval by Regulatory Agencies.

Mr Atoyebi is also a trusted advisor to many government agencies and international organizations including Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Nigerian Military e.t.c. He also brings a charismatic, structured approach to solving problems and an unwavering commitment to achieving clients’ goals.

He is particularly familiar with financing the development of infrastructure projects and has advised on the development of pipelines, petroleum assets, jetties among others.

He is a member of IBB Golf and Country Club and currently serves as the Secretary of the Prestigious Club.

The swearing-in of Atoyebi and other awardees in the commencement of 2019/2020 legal year of the Supreme Court, made Mr Atoyebi the youngest Nigerian lawyer to be elevated to the highly coveted rank of senior advocate of Nigeria.

This noble feat of Mr Muyiwa Atoyebi Oyetola depicts him as an illustrious Nigerian youth, worthy of celebration and emulation.
