A good music is supposed to capture the full range of human emotions. Unfortunately few artist knows how to do that.
In my not too humble opinion, “WE PLENTY FOR HERE” by Cobhams Asuquo ft. Simi easily falls in the category of good music.
The song is basically about millions of individuals out there pushing hard, working tirelessly and it seems like no genuine result is coming out of their hustle, yet many of their cohorts are making waves, getting good jobs, promotions, buying cars, getting married, and having kids e.t.c.
The song appeals to those who fall into these categories that no condition lasts forever. This life na turn-by-turn. And if you know someone who makes a big hit, the best you can do is to rejoice with them. “Your time go come”
Simi: talks expresses the fundamental fact that “money no be everything” “no condition is permanent” “your own time go come”
The evergreen afropop, afro-fusion, afro-soul, R&B, EDM and moombahton artist further buttress, when you work hard, it is most certain that your hardwork will pay, if you do not give up. “Owu no dey last forever” “beans no dey cook forever”
