In response to the perceived Nigeria involvement in the most recent social media lashes between  United States and Iran, President Trump has confirmed that his administration plans on expanding his administration’s travel ban to Nigeria.

The Wall Street Journal reports in an interview with the newspaper on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in the Swiss city of Davos, Trump said that he is planning on adding additional countries to an updated version of his travel ban that the administration is expected to be released later this month. .
.
The Politico, citing two people familiar with the matter, said the list of countries is not yet final and is subject to change, but may include: Belarus, Myanmar, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania, citing two people familiar with the matter.

The Associated Press reported that the countries on the proposed expansion list include allies that fall short on certain security measures after the Department of Homeland Security reviewed security protocols for about 200 countries.

This development might be a very hard time for some Nigerians planning to either relocate or visit the God’s own State for one reason or the other.
