President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila at the Presidential villa in Abuja.
Although the reason for the meeting was not disclosed as at the time of filing this report, there are indications that it was scheduled to discuss about the security situation in the country.
Recall that both the Senate and the House of Reps had, last week, deliberated on the pervasive insecurity in the nation with the Senate Minority leader, Eyinnaya Abaribe, calling for the resignation of President Buhari.
Odunews.com also reported that prayer walks was staged by Churches in some parts of the country yesterday including one led by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
The Senate also passed a vote of no-confidence on the military, police, and other security agencies in Nigeria.
