Senate Minority Leader Calls On Buhari To Resign

Senate minority leader, Senator , has called on to resign over his administration’s failure to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians.

Abaribe stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress and and President Buhari had told Nigerians to stone them if they fail and that “it is now time to pick stones to stone them” in view of their obvious failure.

“Those who live on propaganda shall die by propaganda, defeat is staring us on the face.

“Nigerians did not elect the Chief of Staff, Nigerians did not elect heads of Security, Nigerians elected in 2015 and in 2019.

“As it is, we are facing the head of the Nigerian government and this is President Buhari. He should resign with immediate effect. ”

Senate President Ahmad Lawan however cut Abaribe short.

He called on Abaribe and all those who are going to make contributions to the debate to be apolitical.

He said that bandits and Boko Haram insurgents do not operate on partisan grounds when they kill citizens.

In his contribution, Senator Abudullahi Adamu, faulted the Senate President for not calling on Abaribe to withdraw his comments.

Lawan had on Tuesday promised that the Senate would dedicate its plenary on Wednesday to debate the worsening security situation in the country and proffer a way forward
