Carl Lumbly, an actor who had a recurring role in the CW series Supergirl has been added to the cast of the Disney + series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Lumbly is known for his roles as NYPD Detective Marcus Petrie on the CBS police drama Cagney & Lacey, CIA Agent Marcus Dixon on the ABC spy drama series Alias, and as the voice of the Martian Manhunter for the animated series Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will feature Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson team up with Sebastian Stan’s Bucy Barnes to deal with a viral threat.
Daniel Bruhl will also return as Baron Zemo, whose villainous activities were recently glimpsed in an extended teaser for the upcoming series.
Deadline reports that the 68-year-old Lumbly will join the series alongside Emily VanCamp (who will again play the role of Sharon Carter).
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere on Disney + in August 2020 and is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
