Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar’s son has tested positive for coronavirus.
The presidential aspirant in the 2019 election and PDP member made the announcement on his Twitter account, revealing that the NCDC had already been notified.
Atiku further stated that his son had been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment, and he called on members of the public to pray for his son.
In his words:
“My son has tested positive to coronavirus. @NCDCGov has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management. I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real. –AA”
The First Lady, Aisha Buhari, reacted to the development, expressed sympathy for the politician and his son, saying that she prayed for his quick recovery.
