BREAKING: Presidency Reacts To Buhari, Kyari Been Secretly Flown Out Of Nigeria

Following a widespread news update about President Muhammadu Buhari and his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari been flown out of the country over COVID-19 infection, the presidency has refuted such claim regarding it as a fake report intended to cause panic.

The said audio was shared on Twitter by one Jackson Ude

Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant to President Buhari on new media tweeted:

FAKE NEWS ALERT: The voice note that President @MBuhari and Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari have been secretly flown out of the country is totally UNTRUE. It was intentionally recorded to cause chaos and fear. This fake news was originated and being circulated by one @jacksonpbn.

Odunews.com reports that the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, tested Positive for Coronavirus.

This led to widespread rumours that the President and other persons at the villa have contracted the disease.

This has howver been debunked by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

Since the news of the CoS testing positive broke out, the Presidential Villa has been scanty with many staff being asked to stay at home.

As part of measures to prevent the spread of the virus, President Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina, announced the withdrawal of some state House Correspondents from the villa.

Nigeria has since recorded 51 cases of the Coronavirus pandemic with majority being from Lagos and Abuja.
