Burkina Faso has joined the countries in Africa that is experiencing an increase in the cases of COVID-19 as four of its ministers have tested positive to the dreaded virus.

Among the ministers is Foreign Minister Alpha Barry, as they were all found to be positive in a single day.
Barry had earlier dismissed the news as mere rumor but later took to his Twitter account where he admitted that he indeed had the coronavirus.

He wrote:
“The rumour has become reality … I have just been notified positive for COVID-19.”
The other ministers include Education minister Stanislas Ouaro, Minister of Territorial Administration Simeon Sawadogo, and Mines Minister Oumaru Idani.
The country of Burkina Faso reported its first case of COVID-19 on March 9, 2020, and has now recorded 40 cases.
