10 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Nigeria.
The announcement was made today, Saturday 21, 2020, by the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire in the following statement:
“Nigeria has recorded 10 new cases of #COVID19 in Lagos and FCT. That is a total of 22 cases in Nigeria.”
According to Ehanire, Lagos now 16 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has 3 confirmed cases. Ogun and Ekiti States also have two and one cases respectively.
Ehanire disclosed that two have been discharged and that all cases are clinically stable and were receiving adequate care.
All ten cases are Nigerian nationals, with nine of them having a travel history to Canada, France, Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The 10th case is a close contact of a previously confirmed case.
