Former Hollywood producer and businessman Harvey Weinstein is reportedly doing fine despite having tested positive for the coronavirus.
Weinstein was recently sentenced for twenty-three years in jail after being found guilty of rape and assault charges. He was sent to Rikers Island before being transferred to another prison facility. It was while he was in detention that he contracted the dreaded COVID-19.
A source spoke with Page Six, claiming that the disgraced producer has been breathing on his own after the coronavirus diagnosis.
Weinstein was tested by medical professionals at Bellevue Hospital after he developed a dry cough (which is one of the symptoms of COVID-19). He also had other flu symptoms like fever.
The embattled rapist is particularly susceptible to COVID-19 due to his age (he is 68 years old), and pre-existing health condition.
Weinstein is currently serving time at the Wende Correctional Facility in upstate New York, near Buffalo.
