Jessica Alba will star in the upcoming Disney + docuseries Parenting Without Borders.
Jessica Marie Alba is an American actress and businesswoman whose television and movie appearances began when she was 13 years old.
She rose to prominence at the age of 19 as the lead star of the TV series Dark Angel (2000-2002), for which she got a Golden Globe nomination.
Alba’s big-screen breakthrough came in the 2003 movie Honey, and she soon proved herself a Hollywood actress.
She went on to feature in notable films like Fantastic Four (2005), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), Good Luck Chuck (2007), Valentine’s Day (2010), and Mechanic Resurrection (2016).
The upcoming series has been described by Deadline with the following words:
“The travel show will follow Alba, an actress, producer, entrepreneur and mother of three, as she immerses herself with families around the world, exploring the parenting beliefs and practices shaping families today.
Based on the 2013 book, Parenting Without Borders: Surprising Lessons Parents Around the World Can Teach Us by Christine Gross-Loh, it reveals the ways in which culture shapes parenting in different nations.
Alba will also serve as an executive producer alongside fellow actress Gabrielle Union.
