The Duke of Cambridge has stated that he and his wife are spreading coronavirus.
Prince William and Kate Middleton were at a reception at the Guinness Storehouse when the former made the joke about spreading the deadly disease.
The royal was asked whether the scourge which was responsible for 3,190 deaths worldwide, was being hyped in the media, and he joked: “By the way, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are spreading coronavirus, sorry.”
He went on, “We’re keeping an eye on that, so do tell us if we need to stop.”
Prince William talked about the ailment in a chat with emergency workers at a reception hosted by Britain’s ambassador to Ireland, Robin Barnett, in Dublin.
He asked an advance paramedic with the National Ambulance Service, “I bet everyone’s like ‘I’ve got coronavirus, I’m dying’, and you’re like, ‘No, you’ve just got a cough.’
Many will not take the royal’s joke lightly as the virus which is still spreading is forcing the world into a global recession as the global death toll continues to rise.
