South African comedian Trevor Noah has suspended audiences on his show over coronavirus fears.

The comedian on his live show “The Daily Show” sang a song on Thursday night, as he announced that the show will be suspending live audience in the studio because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Other top talk shows have taken the same measures as the virus has spread in the US.

There are currently more than 1,300 confirmed cases of the virus in the country and at least 40 deaths have been reported.

Trevor Noah said the Daily Show had to do its part in curbing the spread of the virus.

He wrote;

To do our part during the pandemic, the Daily Show is not going to have a live studio audience starting from Monday. “
