Award winning composer Hans Zimmer is filing for divorce.
One of the most famous composers in the world, Zimmer is also a record producer who since the 1980s has composed music for over films including ‘The Lion King’, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 1995, the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise, ‘Gladiator’, and ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’.
He has received 4 Grammy Awards, 3 Classical BRIT Awards, 2 Golden Globes and an Academy Award.
The 62-year-old filed the divorce documents on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, wanting a split from wife Suzanne Zimmer.
Suzanne is the composer’s second wife as he was previously married to Vicki Carolin. They had called it quits in 1992. Shortly after, he had started a relationship with Suzanne.
Zimmer has a daughter from Vicki, and four children from Suzanne. He has worked with acclaimed Hollywood directors like Ridley Scott, Ron Howard, Gore Verbinski, Michael Bay, and Christopher Nolan.
