A thug of war has ensued between residents of Alagbado at the Lagos-Ogun boundary and robbers in broad daylight leading to the death of four.
From what OduNews.com gathered, it started with heavy gun bombardment by hoodlums led by a gang member of One Million.
Residents who were observing the compulsory lockdown were stirred by sounds of gunshots.
OduNews.com understands that the two prevalent gangs of robbers in operation right now are the Awawa Boys and One Million Gang.
It was not too clear what happened but we learnt that it metamorphosized into a confrontation with residents of Kola, Moshalashi, Alakuko, Dalemo, Agbado Crossing on one side, and the gang, on the other.
According to the source, the tussle claimed two lives at Kola and also the lives of two landlords were lost at Moshalashi.
According to an eyewitness who pleaded anonymity, the sporadic gunshots forced shop owners to quickly close up and people hasting away.
He added that the hoodlums were after money and foodstuffs and they were ready to do anything if not obliged.
It was also stated that people were currently outside with their weapons lying in wait, for the robbers, as at the time of filing this report.
Moreover, it was reported that the Federal Government has commenced the transfer of N20,000 in Lagos as part of efforts to reduce the effect of the coronavirus lockdown on residents of the state.
However, many people are already at their wit end, with family and household heads under intense pressure.
