President Muhammadu Buhari is set to address Nigerians today, Monday, April 13, 2020 at 7pm.
The information was announced in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
Nigerians have been forced to endure a state of civil unrest as parts of the nation have descended in chaos. The enforced lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic has led to a lot of unpleasant experiences, and it is expected that the President’s address will revolve around the lockdown.
President Buhari had urged citizens this past Saturday remain at home, leaving many wondering when the lockdown would be called off.
The statement issued today reads:
“President Muhammadu Buhari will broadcast to the nation Monday, April 13, 2020 at 7pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.”
As at the time of writing this, 323 cases of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the country, with 10 deaths.
