Popular Nollywood actor Richard Move-Damijo has urged the Nigerian Customs Service to give the seized food items in their possession to those who need them as the nation continues to observe the lockdown due to COVID-19.
The veteran movie star shared a post on Instagram where he expressed gratitude for the reduced fuel prices and all other efforts.
RMD said it was time the government agencies stepped up and revealed how much they can bring to Nigerians.
His post reads:
“Sitting here wondering if this won’t be a good time for the government to ask Customs about all the seized rice, tomato, vegetable oil and all the other food items they have in their possession and give out to our people in need.
Whilst thanking them for reduced fuel prices at this time (inject smiley face) and all other efforts so far, food is a major part of this lockdown.
I know sometimes the agencies of govt don’t work as a team but please this is the time for customs to step up and tell us how much relief they can bring to Nigerians.”
