The All Progressives Congress says all its governorship aspirants in Ondo and Edo sates would pay N22.5million before being allowed to run for the post.
In a timetable released Wednesday in Abuja, APC National Organizing Secretary Emma Ibediro said the party would start the primaries by selling nomination and expressing interest forms to aspirants.
According to Ibediro, the sale of forms to governorship aspirants in Edo will commence from May 20 to June 2, while that of Ondo State will be from from June 11 to July 1 , 2020.
The Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) set the governorship election for Sept. 19 in Edo in February, while Ondo State’s election was set for Oct. 10.
The organizing scribe of the party said the forms had been fixed at N22.5 million for each aspirant in both states.
That, he says, includes N2.5 million for expression of interest form and N20 million for the nomination form.
