The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has ratified the nomination of Abiola Ajimobi as the party’s acting national chairman.

This is coming few hours after Victor Gaidom declared himself as the national chairman of the party following the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole by the Appeal Court on Tuesday.
The NWC said that Giadom’s membership of the NWC ceased when he resigned to contest the Deputy Governorship position in Rivers State.
The APC National Vice-Chairman (South-South), Hilliard Eta, who addressed the media soon after Giadom left the party Secretariat, said preparations for the Edo Governorship primary was on course.
