The second season of Netflix‘s The Witcher is set to resume production this August.
Henry Cavill (who portrays the series’ protagonist Geralt) and his co-stars Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan restart shooting in the United Kingdom following months of hiatus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Witcher season 2 halted production in March 2020, and thanks to an announcement made on Twitter today, we now know that filming is scheduled to restart on August 17, 2020.

The series’ official account on Twitter updated fans with the caption:
I’m dusting off my lute and quill,
I have some news, some mead to spill:
After all the months we’ve been apart
It’s time for production to restart.
The Witcher and his bard – who’s flawless,
Will reunite on set 17 August.”
