Marvel Studios has picked three filmmakers to helm their upcoming series Hawkeye.
Many know that the studio has been developing its television shows, some of which had already started production when the COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to all things film and TV productions.
Among the planned series is Hawkeye, focusing on the skilled archer, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner). Now his solo journey will get the series treatment, with directors Amber Finlayson, Katie Ellwood, and Rhys Thomas brought in to direct, according to THR.
The series expected to introduce audiences to the character of Kate Bishop, a young woman who will be trained by Barton to take on the mantle of Hawkeye.
Speaking at the San Diego Comic-Con last year, Renner had said:
What I get to do in the show ultimately is shepherd an amazing character, ultimately a better version of me and the sentiment of that is the fiber of what Hawkeye is, at least what I think Hawkeye is — a superhero without superpowers and I get to teach someone else to be a superhero without superpowers.”
The Old Guard is proving to be even more successful than anticipated…
From all indications, movie which stars Charlize Theron is following on the footsteps of Extraction as reports have revealed that it is set to be seen by 72 million households within the next four weeks.
The feat would put The Old Guard on the number 6 spot in the list of Netflix’s top original movies ever; something that it so deserves.
Based on the graphic novel by Greg Rucka, it tells the story of a group of immortals who travel to different parts of the world, changing the course of events and managing to stay off the radar.
Everything changes with the arrival of a headstrong young woman (KiKi Layne) and the relentless pursuit of the group by a CIA operative (Chiwetel Ejiofor).
