APC Expels Ondo Lawmaker For Allegedly Working For Gov. Akeredolu’s Deputy

Favour Semilore-Tomomewo, the lawmaker representing Ilaje Constituency 2 in Ondo state House of Assembly has been expelled by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.

In the expulsion letter signed by Olamigoke Ajimuda and Taid Omosule, Ilaje Constituency 2 Ward Chairman and Secretary on Wednesday October 14, Semilore-Tomomewo who is the only female lawmaker in the state house of assembly was accused of working against the interest of the party in all political meetings.

She was also accused of wearing shirts with the logo of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), the political party Ondo Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi joined after a face-off with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The letter added:

“She is working against the interest of our party by funding, mobilising, canvassing supporters and publicly flying the logo of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

“Having exhausted all known mechanism to investigate your anti-party activities, the executives met, deliberated extensively and consequently expelled you from the party.”
