The former President of the Nigerian Senate Olubukola Saraki has taken to his social media page to congratulate the newly-elected president of the United States of America Joe Biden.
Saraki, who took to his Twitter page to congratulate Biden on his historic victory at the election, also congratulated Kamala Harris, who holds the record of the first elected female vice president in the history of the United States.
“I congratulate the former Vice-President of the United States, @JoeBiden on his historic election as the next President of the United States. I also congratulate Senator @KamalaHarris, who will be the first female Vice-President of the world’s most vibrant democracy,” he tweeted.

Joe Biden emerged as the apparent winner of the US election, after polling a total of 284 electoral votes.
Biden beat incumbent Donald Trump in key states that have, for years, being the strongholds of the Republican party.
