Enyimba started their campaign in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi in Aba on Wednesday

Skipper Austine Oladapo gave Enyimba the lead after just 10 minutes.

The visitors drew level from the spot through Abdallah Imhamed on 18 minutes.

Victor Mbaoma restored the Peoples Elephant lead two minutes before the break.

ES Setif of Tunisia and South Africa’s Orlando Pirates will clash in the other Group A game later on Wednesday.

The Aba giants will face Orlando Pirates in their next group game on March 17.
