The ATA Movement, a socio-political platform led by the young and upwardly mobile entertainment consultant and serial entrepreneur, Ademola Titilopemi Ajibola, had concluded plans to commence her #ATAjere programme, a market invasion created to alleviate and complement the economic development of market women across different markets of Ibadan.

ATA’JERE (which translates to SUCCESS IN TRADE) is one of the many programmed on the ATA AGENDA which Ademola projects. The first edition is set to give 50 market women and men, 10,000 naira cash support to add as business aids to boost whatever they sale.

This edition will launch at the popular APATA market of the Ibadan South West LGA on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 and the train will moves on periodic basis to other markets within the Ibadan South West/North West Federal Constituency.

For ATA as Ajibola is fondly called,

“There is no better time to start this activation than now. Sometimes last year, I was a part of a charity project, THE MADE MEN, that stormed some markets and it breaks ones heart to see that some people’s whole tray of wares is less than 5,000 naira. That experience was an eye opener for me as to the pains people go through. 5,000 naira like 10 dollars. How much profit does such person want to make to survive in this tough realities?”. These are some of the reasons why I told myself that whenever I can afford to push for it, I will do my best to support people within my community in my own small ways, to assist and that’s why this project was created”.

“This has no political/tribal coloration to this segment of my agenda as I’m doing it solely as a commitment I’ve had in plans for people with or without any return. Earlier in June this year, I did a debate competition that had 20 students drawn from 10 secondary schools compete, with 2 students going home with Laptops, some getting Jamb Forms support, 2 students went home with 30,000 naira and 20,000 respectively, amongst others”. I do what I feel makes my society better and I’m hopeful I’d do more as God spread my wings. It’s time to act, remembering well that the government can’t do all”.

While many are strongly clamouring for ATA to play actively in 2023 general elections, the Oke-Ado born articulate speaker is yet to make an official declaration as to where he is headed, even though his works and personality are becoming more pronounced in the Ibadan.
