Following the arrest of suspended DSP Abba Kyari, there has been quite a number of controversial theories surrounding his arrest and one of the popular ones suggests he’s been shielded from extradition to the United States.
OduNews.com recalls that Abba Kyari has been linked with a scam deal involving Hushpuppi who is currently in US prison. As a result, a request for his extradition has been filed by the FBI through the United States but the Nigerian government is yet to give in to the request.
Abba Kyari was arrested on Monday following the release of evidence by the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) linking him with a drug cartel. The argument going on among Nigerians on the internet centres around his time of events. Questions like; Why is being arrested now? Why are all these coming out with a year to 2023 elections?.
H_hicc on Twitter said; “If you believe this NDLEA story then you don’t know Nigeria. He’s being shielded from being extradited. (sic)”
Chriss_mec replied him saying;
“Bro. This is real, just that they knew all along but maybe things went wrong between them and they decided to open his secret.
Mind you, new government is coming and they don’t know who. What happens if it’s just an act and the new government decides taking it up seriously? (sic)”
He goes further;
“That new government fear should be the key because how do you start explaining to Osinbajo or PDP president that Abba didn’t involve in drugs again after your video proof? You no dey go down with him?”
Another Twitter user confirms the claim with the Nigerian constitution;
“Just in case anyone believes his NDLEA arrest
