There has been an outburst on social media since the news broke that the security officials of the Chicken Republic seen in a viral video have been sacked.
The video which first appeared on Tiktok captured the moment the two security details attached to the fast-food restaurant were dancing while performing the duty of welcoming customers.

The clip which had gone viral apparently got to the management of the restaurant and they weren’t pleased, hence, the reason for the sack.
This has sparked huge reactions from Twitter users condemning the action of Chicken Republic while a few others feel there is no need to be emotional about it as the security officials were violating their formal conduct of the organization.
See some of the reactions below:
This is a restaurant with waiters dancing with a little girl… This video got 4.2 million views. But chicken Republic knows this PR thing better. pic.twitter.com/9m91CXMWbC

Now that FOODCO Akobo has healthy competitors(Bitemore, dominos, chicken republic) all within the same vicinity, hopefully they will behave on their customer’s service henceforth!
Very poor and nonchalant workers!???????? I’ve stopped going there wayyy back tho

I know Nigerians will express emotions on this.
But this is quite unprofessional in a corporate work environment like Chicken Republic
Imagine walking up to a bank teller & she is chewing gum, with earpiece plugged into her ears & she is dancing to an unheard music. It's wrong https://t.co/rMKX11oAbP

Omo chicken republic team could have capitalized on this content or just turn this thing around for their brand instead of sacking them. E.g This is how happy you get once you place an order from chicken republic???? https://t.co/DSL7Izufim

Is it really a "corporate" environment?
Can one really compare Chicken republic (that's not a so proper restaurant) with a bank?
Would you enter a bank and see them play different songs for the entertainment of their customers like in chicken rep.?
Sacking them is unnecessary. https://t.co/xFokyrGXQz

Y'all dragging chicken republic but your house help sleeps on the kitchen floor, only eat what's left after a week, wears rags, literally shivers when he/she hears the sound of your voice and doesn't even attend the least public school… Hypocrites!

You were employed to work in a fast food restaurant. You went there and started dancing.
Who exactly are you dancing for? If not for the social media folks? Why would you even dance on duty?
Now, Chicken Republic has sacked you. Were you employed to dance? Was that your job?

It Doesn't Matter If Their Actions Were Unprofessional Or Not. The Right Questions Are:
• Was There A Formal Complaints?
• Were They Given Fair Warning Before They Were Sacked?
• Did Chicken Republic PR Team Thought On How This Could Have Benefited Them Promotionally? https://t.co/uzWYeVjFbz
