A trending video has shown Popular socialite and member of the House of Representatives, Shina Peller, expressing angst over the outcome of the Oyo North Senatorial primary of the All Progressives Congress.
Peller who represents lseyin/ltesiwaju/Kajola/lwajowa federal constituency joined the race for Oyo North senatorial district but came third losing to the incumbent Senator, Abdul Fatahi Buhari.
Shina Peller secured five votes against the winner of the primary, Abdul Fatahi Buhari who polled 570 votes.
In a viral video on social media, Shina Peller, speaking in Yoruba, said the ticket won by Abdulfatai Buhari would ‘liquidate’ in his hands before the election, invoking God’s name.
He said the Oke-Ogun people have been held captive by Buhari and said God will free the people.
He also said the Electoral Act allows a seven-month campaign window, hinting that he may seek election on another party platform.
