Supporters of the presidential bid of former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi, are set to launch a television station, “Obidient TV”.
The Labour Party presidential candidate has been on the lips of many Nigerians since he declared to run for the country’s apex seat in the 2023 election.
His supporters, famously called ‘Obidients’ have taken over the country’s social media space and have continued to devise new means to promote his candidacy to Nigerians.
According to various Twitter accounts renowned for promoting Obi’s candidacy, the “Obidient TV” is 90% ready. Programmes on the station will be tilted towards promoting the presidential ambition of Peter Obi.
“Obidient TV will be on your DSTV, GOTV and Starttimes. Our broadcasting will be covered in different ethnic language, one of Obi’s supporters’ told OduNews.

A twitter user who supports the LP candidate, @Amuchie_Godswill, noted that the ‘Obidient TV’ became necessary as a result of ‘traditional media being against’ Obi.
Since the traditional media have decided to be against us, we have to come up with our own strategy.
