Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, says other female artists in the music industry paved way for her.
Her message comes a day after her BET awards wins.
The “Crazy things” crooner won the Best International Act category at the 2022 BET Awards, as well as Best Collaboration for “Essence” by Wizkid, which featured her and Canadian star Justin Bieber.
Tems took to Twitter on Tuesday to hail other female artists in the Nigerian music industry for playing a part in her growth.
The 227-year-old singer mentioned names like Asa, Omawunmi, Waje, Yemi Alade, Simi, Tiwa Savage, Ayra Starr, Amaarae, Gyakie, and a slew of others in her tweet, making it known that it is all love from her side to them.
