Yahaya Bello Insists He Won’t Step Down

Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, says he is still in the Presidential race, OduNews reports.

The Kogi State Governor disclosed this to State House Correspondents shortly after meeting the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), at the State House, Abuja.

The governor noted that President Buhari supports a free and fair contest, warning that the party may be toeing a perilous path if he is excluded from the list of aspirants at the party’s convention.

BREAKING: Tinubu In Early Lead As Counting Of Votes Begin

The sorting and counting of votes are underway at the venue of the All Progressives Congress primary election ongoing at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

Former Lagos state governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, appears to be polling the highest votes as the sorting has so far shown.

The convention Electoral Committee disclosed that a total of of 2,260 delegates voted during the primary election.

JUST IN: Osinbajo’s Campaign Spokesperson Congratulates Tinubu

The Spokesperson of the Yemi Osinbajo campaign organisation, Richard Akinola, has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his victory at the ongoing presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress.

Akinola, in a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday, congratulated Tinubu although the winner is yet to be officially declared.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress presidential primary, OduNews reports.

The official figure polled by Tinubu is yet to declared.

Votes counted so far shows that Emeka Nwajuiba polled 1 vote, David Umahi 38, Tunde Bakare – 0, Rufai Sani – 4, Lawan 152 votes, Yahaya Bello – 47, Osinbajo – 235, Amaechi – 316, Prof. Ben Ayade = 37 votes.

Former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, polled over 50% of the delegates’ votes totalling 1,271, OduNews reports.

Rotimi Amaechi, former minister of transportation and top contender, polled 316 votes while Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo got 235 votes.
