1. Buhari, APC Presidential Aspirants’ Meeting Fails To Produce Consensus Candidate
President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday asked presidential aspirants of the All Progressives Congress to consult among themselves and choose a formidable candidate before the party’s presidential primary on Monday.

2. Consensus: Tinubu, Osinbajo, Other Southwest APC Presidential Aspirants Meet
The ruling All Progressives Congress presidential aspirants from the South-West and key stakeholders met in Abuja on Saturday. The seven presidential aspirants from the South-West are Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; APC stalwart, Bola Tinubu; Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; former Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun; Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate, Ajayi Boroffice; a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole; and fiery Lagos cleric, Pastor Tunde Bakare. Also at the meeting are governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun) and Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo).

A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State, Mr Paul Amadi, has said the South-East would support the candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, to win the 2023 presidential election. Amadi, who stated this yesterday in Owerri, said: “Obi is the best candidate to turn Nigeria around for good.

4. Atiku, Igbo, Yoruba’s Blood Flow Together – Bode George
A former Deputy National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Bode George, has said that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, can poll substantial votes in the 2023 elections to emerge as President. The PDP chieftain noted that Atiku’s strong acceptability among Igbos and Yorubas would aid his election victory in 2023.

5. INEC To Stop Storing Sensitive Materials With CBN
The Independent National Electoral Committee, INEC, says it would no longer store sensitive electoral materials in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakub, revealed this in Abuja on Saturday.

A member of a vigilante group in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, was burnt alive yesterday over alleged blasphemy against Islam. The incident occurred on Saturday at the Timber shed market, Federal Housing Estate, Lugbe Abuja

8. Mike Aboh Of Zule Zoo Is Dead
Michael Tertsea Aboh, Who is a member of the popular music group, Zule Zoo, has been reported dead. The news hit the internet by his colleague Hassan Ibrahim also known as Ibro, who said Michael died on Saturday morning in Markurdi, Benue state capital of in the middle belt of Nigeria.

9. Portable That I Raised Never Drink Nor Smoke – Sister, Aminat
Aminat Okikiola, the sister of maverick musician, Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable has said the artiste does not drink nor smoke. About his hemp smoking habit, Aminat said, “Funny enough, I cannot tell when he develop this love for marijuana. The Habeeb, the Portable that I know and brought up never smoked hemp. He didn’t smoke a cigarette or drink alcohol. So I am surprised at the development. Even now, I could almost swear that he does not smoke or drink. I guess it comes with the profession and stardom.”

10. Mother, Three-year Old Daughter, 20 Others Die In Kano Fire
Tragedy struck Kano State on Thursday following a late night fire incident which claimed over 20 lives in the Sheka area. The victims were burnt beyond recognition. Also, another fire incident occurred at Kano Municipal, killing a 35-year-old mother and her three-year-old son while they were asleep.
