Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has played down the importance of a written manifesto ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.
Obi who spoke on Wednesday in an interview on Arise TV said he does not believe in hiring professionals to write something he doesn’t believe in when asked about his manifesto.
The interviewer had asked Obi when he will present his election manifesto to the public. Responding he said, “I can hire professionals to write something I don’t believe in & don’t even practice, just to win your hearts. If you want my manifesto, listen to me when I speak. Check my records as Governor.
“When you hear them directly from me as you’re hearing right now, it would be easier to hold me accountable when I don’t keep up to my words. Not when I hire professionals to put together things that I don’t even understand”
Peter Obi’s popularity ahead of the 2023 election has kept on skyrocketing since he was given the presidential ticket of the Labour Party.
