The Appeal Court sitting in Akure, Ondo state, has affirmed Ademola Adeleke as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun state.
The Osun State High Court had on Friday, May 18, declared Adeleke as the true candidate of the PDP in the governorship election held in Osun state.
The suit against Adeleke was filed by a factional candidate of the PDP, Prince Dotun Babayemi.
Babayemi has asked the court to be recognised as the authentic candidate of the Party following the parallel primaries held on March 9.
The Osun governorship election which was conducted on Saturday saw the PDP’s candidate, Ademola Adeleke, defeat incumbent governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress.
