The unveiling of the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2023 election took a different turn after the ruling party reportedly hired ‘fake’ bishops to attend the event.
The ruling party has faced backlash from some Nigerians over its decision to fly a Muslim Muslim ticket for the presidential election.
The APC unveiled Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate yesterday but it was the presence of some clergy that arrested people’s attention during the event.
The Catholic Church had distanced itself from the ‘bishops’ present at the unveiling.
Social media users have since knocked the ruling party for its action.
